Q

Children are now an economic liability

A

Laws being introduced in order to end child labour and in turn making children stay in compulsory education has caused children to be more dependent on their parents as they can no longer earn a living for themselves at a young age as you could in the 19th century. this cause parents to have less children as it holds less financial pressure on them to provide for their kids
