Having more than one spouse at a time.
What is a nuclear family?
Consists of a mother and father with their children living together.
What is a single family?
Consists of a single parent living with their dependent children.
What is a blended family?
A blended family is two separate families brought together due to the parents getting married or cohabiting.
What is a extended family?
Consists of three generations such as the grandparents, parents and children living together.
Pros and Cons of single families?
Pros - don’t have to see parents quarrelling.
Cons - financial problems since there is only one provider.
Why do Christians believe that family is important?
It was created by God as the basic unit of society and is where children should be raised.

‘obey your parents’
SOWAA for bringing children up in Christian faith?
‘Bring them up in the training… of the Lord.’
4 reasons for raising children in a christian family?
Instil moral values.
Provide material and physical needs.
Raise them as christians by taking them to sunday school.
So children can take care of their parents when they’re old.
