The bible has 3 different teachings.
What does Genesis 1 say about the equality of men and women?
God created them in his image so they are equal. They were also created at the same time.

Man is superior since man came first and woman was created out of a piece of a man’s rib. Also it teaches that evil came into this world due to women.

‘i will make your pains in childbearing very severe’

What is the evangelical protestant opinion on equality of men and women in the family?
They have different roles, women bring up children in Christian faith and men provide for the family. Women should cover up and men should be teachers and church leaders.
Why do evangelical protestants believe that men are superior?
In genesis 2, man was created before woman. Jesus’ disciples were men.

Men and woman should have equal roles in the family.
