- precip that could result in intended RW being contaminated and LDG Disp/Enroute Factored dist exceeds LDA

EDTO criteria based on
- forecast ceiling and visibility
- forecast Xwind (inc gusts) for expected landing RW + weight + OEI
(RCAM 2 = 12kts or Dry = 40kts)
- landing distance at expected weight
- Disregard less than Prob40
- must account for INTER/TEMPO

  • If unable to arm door or malfunction that cannot be resolved by moving door handle must RTB for engineering action
  • Ensuring door handle in closed position or PiC directing 1 attempt at dis-arm and re-arm allowed

  • Inflight item to be confiscated and secured
  • Law enforcement to remove weapon from aircraft
  • Prohibited item may be returned to pax once landside.
  • Qantas employees may carry prohibited item (not weapon) through secure area to return to pax or stow in hold

Extended Ground Delays

A
  • Engines may be shutdown following FCOM SP. Once shutdown:
  • Capt or F/O on flight deck at all times
  • Confirm with CSM cabin no longer ready and short taxi may be required
  • CSM or designate to be contactable at 2L at all times
  • Seat Belt Sign to be left ON. Refer 18.28
  • Advise CSM when engines restarted if for takeoff or repositioning
  • Cabin Crew to resecure cabin and give CABIN READY to indicate secure for T/O
