With regards to fuel when do declare an emergency?
When at the completion of the landing roll the fuel left on board will be less than fixed reserves
What is a DPA?
Furtherest point on the fuel flight plan from the departure airport where the aircraft can still divert to a suitable airport with all engines operating maintaining inflight fuel requirements.
What is the DPD?
Designated point depressurised, most critical point on flight plan where a/c can divert depressurised to either of 2 acceptable airports with fixed fuel reserve intact.
Preflight must fuel for fixed reserve and app fuel
What is DP1?
Designated point 1 engine, most fuel critical point on track that a/c can divert to either of 2 suitable airports.
Preflight: must have enough fuel to divert to either airport
plus 5% of that fuel,
Plus app fuel
Plus fixed reserve
Plus any special hold fuel.
What is the min fuel over destination, planned?
2700kg
What are the special hold fuel requirements with regards to inter/tempos/atc?
Tempo/atc =not above 60mins
Inter/atc=not above 40mins
Thunderstorms in oz get 60mins payload permitting
What is the taxi fuel allowance?
Normally 100kg at 15kg/min plus 30kg for apu.
What does variable fuel reserve include?
10% of flight fuel (includes diversion if needed)
Inflight fuel requirements?
Fuel to suitable airport 10% of the above Approach fuel Fixed fuel reserve Special holding fuel if reqd.
What is AV 2?
TOD alternate to a suitable airport
Must be nominated on the flight plan.
