Gold, coffee, cotton, bananas, chocolate, fruit/veg, vanilla and spices, wine, beers, nuts, dried fruits, flowers, tea.
What is farming like for workers before fair trade
Had little power and couldn’t choose how much money they get. If there was bad weather or disease they wouldn’t get any money iPad the crops didn’t grow.
Why are cocoa farmers wages low before joining a fair trade cooperation?
The big companies barely paid the farmers. Don’t get to choose their own income. Buyers have all the power.
What are the benefits of the fair trade minimum price?
When the global market price gets low, the farmers have a safety net so the farmers still get a good wage.
