- US government does not have sole jurisdiction over the airspace
- extends out 12NM from US coast
- serves to warn pilots of potential danger.

Military Operating Area (MOA)
A
- defined vert and lateral limits
- separates military ops from IFR aircraft
- when MOAs inactive, you may transit through them

Alert Area
A
- areas may contain a high volume of pilot training/unusual type of aerial activity
- all pilots equally responsible for collision avoidance

Military Training Routes (MTR)
A
- used to maintain tactical proficiency
- usually established below 10,000 feet
- speeds excess of 250 knots

Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR)

- used when traffic in an airspace would endanger/hamper air or ground activities in the designated area e.g. forest fire, chemical accident, flood etc

- 35 degree cone to 10NM
- 10 degree cone to 18NM
- 108.1 to 111.95 MHz
- 4500 feet above antenna site

Glideslope Usable Range
A
- housed 750 - 1250 feet down rwy
- 400 - 600 feet to one side
- 2.5 - 3.5 degrees above horizontal; can be increased up to 4 degrees
- can be displaced further down for obstacle clearance
- 1.4 degrees thiccc
- 1500 feet of vertical distance at 10nm
