FL responsibilities
A
- ultimately responsible for safe effective conduct of mission
- authority and responsibility of mission success
- planning, briefing, execution, and debriefing of flight
- consideration of capabilities, experience levels of all members
- does not change throughout the mission

A
- clearing for formation, plan ahead of aircraft, monitoring 2, navigation and communication

Collision avoidance
A
- 2 has main responsibility of flight path deconfliction unless unable to maintain visual
- failure of 1 to clear of monitor 2
- failure of 2 to not properly execute lost wingman procedures
- failure to recognize excessive overtake
- failure to maintain vert or lateral separation
- failure to consider effects of wingtip vortices

PLW Wings Level
A
- 15 AOB for 15 seconds then resume heading and separate clearance

PLW Inside Of Turn
A
- reduce power, “Cash 1 rollout, Cash 2 is practice lost wingman”
- rollout once lateral separation is ensured

PLW Outside Of Turn
A
- 15 AOB of 15 seconds, rolls out, ensures separation before resuming turn

PLW Inst Approach
A
- momentary turn away from 1 then climb to FAF/glide slope intercept altitude
- if proceeding to MAP, inform 1 then separate clearance. either comply with published miss or new instruction

PLW Missed Approach
A
- momentarily turns away, continues published missed approach while climbing 500 feet above MAP altitude
- obtains separate clearance

A
- Hazard to formation

- Told to breakout
- SA lost

Clear, cease maneuvering, acknowledge with callsign and obtain verbal clearance before continuing
