redness of lid margin
swelling of lid margin
white & frothy secretions

acute inflammation of follicles of eyelashes and glands of Zeis & moll
caused by Staphylococcus

associated with:
anemia
uncontrolled DM

characterized by gradual, painless swelling
without gross inflammatory signs
