what does locus of control mean?
the extent to which someone has control over the events in their life.
what does it mean if someone had high internal locus of control?
they believe that what happens in their life is largely down to their own behaviours and that they are in control
what does it mean is someone has high external locus of control?
this is when the person believes that the events in their life are due to external factors and out of their control. people with high external locus of control believe in things such as faith and destinies

what did Atgis find?
they found that people with higher external locus of control were more likely to conform and easily persuaded.

Holland 1967 repeated milgrams baseline study and found that 37% of people with internal locus of control didnt obey to 450w and 23% of people with external locus of control didnt obey.
