The estimation of R.m.m.

Answer 1

1. Fill a beaker 2/3 of the way full and heat keeping at a constant 95°C
2. Cut a piece of aluminium to a size bigger than the mouth of the flask
3. Find the mass of the flask + aluminium + rubber band
4. Add 3-4 cm3 of propane to the flask and cover with the aluminium foil
5. Heat the propane by lowering it into the boiling water using tongs and heat until there is no propane visible
6. Take off the heat immediately and measure the temperature exactly
7. Let the flask cool and re-weigh the flask to find the mass of the vapor
8. Use ATM. Pressure to calculate the number of moles and in turn the R.m.m
