Promotes urination, drains dampness, strengthens the Spleen, warms the yang, and promotes the transforming functions of qi
Water-Damp retention marked by edema and difficult urination: Edema, generalized sensation of heaviness, diarrhea, urinary difficulty, possibly vomiting
T: thick white or greasy
P: slippery
Taiyang Syndrome: Also for UB water accumulation with possible external Wind-Cold, headache, fever, irritability, strong thirst, but with vomiting immediatelt after drinking, urinary difficulty
P: floating
Taiyin syndrome: throbbing pulsations just below the umbilicus, vomiting frothy saliva, vertigo, shortness of breath, coughing

Water and Heat Retention in the UB with Yin injury: Urinary difficulty, fever, thirst with a desire to drink, diarrhea, cough, nausea, irritability, insomnia
T: red with dry yellow coat
P: thin, rapid
NOTE: Also for diarrhea in infants from Damp-Heat and injury to the Yin

SP Qi deficiency with excessive damo causing skin edema (Pi Shui syndrome): generalized edema with a sensation of heaviness, distention and fullness in the epigastrium and abdomen, labored breathing and heavy breathing, urinary dfficulty
T: white greasy coat
P: deep, moderate
