An animals that is generally non-native and a species that has evolved through natural evolutionary prosses such as natural selection
A domestic animal
An animal that has been selectively bred for a specific gene trait
Captive farmed
Animal bred or farmed in their country of origin
Wild caught
An animals that has been taken from the wild and put into captivity
Captive born
An animal born in captivity from wild caught parents
Long term captive
Animals taken from wild and kept in captivity for long periods of time
Ethnical sourcing
The ensuring that the purchase – exchange of animals takes place in a way that is not harmful to the animal or environment
International agreement
Agreement between nation states and countries to tackle global challenge
Authority
The body that makes decisions and regulates a sector such as a government department
Legislation
Laws that a countries writes that requires its citizens to follow braking these will result in prosecution

Conservation on international trade in endangered species of wild flora and fauna

Endothermic
An animal that gains heat from metabolic action and can produce its own heat
Exothermic
It cannot regulate its own body temperature, so it requires an external source of heat to survive. That will need to be provided

A device that automatically regulates the temperature by shutting the heat source on or off or keeping a constant temperature
