Exemption 3585 & 17347 Flashcards

1
Q

What are the specific parameters for Exemptions 3585 or 17347?

A
  • At the destination our flight is supposed to be dispatched to, we can have conditional TEMPO or PROB that is predicting no less than half the required visibility (ie If at the destination we need 1 mile visibility in order to fly the planned approach then we could go if the vis were 1/2)
  • At the First Alternate can have TEMPO or PROB predicting no less than half required ceiling and visibility (for derived alternate minimums)
  • FM must meet minimums
  • Add a second alternate, must be chosen wisely bc everything in the weather forecast has to meet our derived alternate minimums for the second alternate, so if 400 and 1 is used then everything for the forecast has to meet the alternate minimums, includes ceiling and visibility
  • On flight release must say somewhere “released under Exemption 17347”
