List the two layers of skin and briefly describe subcutaneous tissue.

The two layers of skin are the epidermis and dermis.
The epidermis is composed of closely packed epithelial cells.
The dermis is composed of dense, irregular connective tissue that houses blood vessels, hair follicles, sweat glands, and other structures.
Subcutaneous tissue is also known as the hypodermis. It is located under the dermis. It is mainly composed of loose connective and fatty tissues. This layer helps with temperature regulation and cushion.
