A
  • individuals act aggressively to protect themselves
  • fighting is an evolved strategy to assert dominance
  • aggression deters our partners from infidelity
  • aggression=increased status against competing male-make aggressor more attractive to the female
  • appropriating resources of a rival makes them weaker and the aggressor stronger-have survival advantage
