- tarrier studied CBT compared to standard over 18 months and found both had same relapse rates

- range from 14-67% being offered CBT
- average of 50% reported their trust had not offered CBT
- every adult should be offered schiz
- also cost effective initially more costly however over time costs are recouped as schiz less likely to need emergency psychiatric services
