- USSR declaration of war on Japan.
- Germany and Austria divided into 4 zones under Allied supervision.
- Nazi war criminals to be tried and punished
- USSR, UK and US joined UN
- Eastern Europe would be a Soviet Sphere of influence
- Declaration of a liberal Europe-democracy

What did the Truman doctrine state?
Truman offered assistance ( econimically, diplomatically and militarily ) to any country in danger of communism.

An economic programme that went hand in hand with the Truman doctrine. Two halves of the same walnut.
What was ERP?
Economic recovery programme. This would supply 13 billion dollars to 16 countries between 1948-52

Communist information Bureau
What was comecon?
Council for mutual economic assistance.
