This approach assumes that official crime stats are correct, some ethnic groups are more likely to commit crimes than others. - Most likely to be relatively deprived. However, left realists could be accused of an over reliance but it is true for all ethnic minority groups.

Indirect and direct discrimination - Phillips and Bowling. Indirect racial discrimination would be mistrust of the police, social position.
