What is the nature v. nurture debate?
differences between genes is social and cultural aspects.
Explain the bobo doll experiment?

watched adults treat the bobo dolls badly.

Saw an adult do non-violent things to the doll.

Result:
see how treat the dolls when put in a room with toys of guns and hammers, etc.

What is Bandura’s social learning theory?
that human interactions in social settings are important when it comes to behaviour (nurture).
What is observational learning?
learning without direct experience, through observing the actions of models.
What is the role of the ethical committee?
make sure that the researchers follow ethical principles. Approve their projects.
Risk-benefit analysis?
cannot accept risks higher than they would face in everyday life. Must outweigh the possible benefits of the study.
Informed consent?
as informed as possible of the key aspects of the study. Keeping in mind the subject-expectancy effect
Right to withdraw from the study?
at any time without negative conscequences.
Debriefing?
come clean after the study. Put the patients in the same state they were before.
Confidentiality?
always keep out the name, data and faces unless specific agreement. just averages.
