Competence
Should accept responsibility or employment only on basis of existing competence or intent to aquire competence

strive to become and remain proficient in professional practice. SW should critically examine and keep current with emerging knowledge
Competence (3c)
SW should base practice on recognized knowledge, including empirically based knowledge
Discrimination
SW should not practice, condone, facilitate or collaborate with any form of discrimination
4.3 - private conduct
Should not permit private conduct to interfere with ability to fulfill professional duties ( IE leave home at home)
4.4 - Dishonesty, fraud, deception
Should not participate in/condone/be associated with dishonesty, fraud or deception
4.05 - Impairment
a) should not allow their own personal problems/distress to interfere with their professional judgement and performance
4.5 - Impairment (B)
SW whose personal problems interfere with professional judgement should immediatley seek consultation and take remedial action.
4.06 - Misrepresentation
Should make clear distinctions between statements made/actions engaged in as private individuals and as a representative of SW profession.

SW who speak on behalf of professional orgs should accuratley represent offical positions

Should ensure their representations to clients ect of professional qualifications are accurate.
4.07 - Solicitation
SW should not engage in uninvited solicitation of potential clients who are vulnerable to undue influence.
4.08 - Acknowledge credit
Take responsibility and credit only for work they have done alternatley - acknowledge the work of others.
