What is the purpose of the IFLOLS (Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System) and where it’s located?

A

⁃ Located on port side across from the island, has ‘Wave-off lights attached to assembly, used to give approaching aircraft a visual aid for landing. Also known as “Meatball.” As long as the pilot is on target they will see a solid circular light and target the #2 wire.
