What happens if 2 WOW sensors fail on the same gear
On ground?
Lg lever will not move up and Lg no dispatch caution msg will display
In flight?
In flight the lg lever will be stuck down and Lg WOW sys fail caution msg
What does the electrical override system do
It bypasses the PSEM and extends the gear the same way as normal operation
How does the alternate gear extension work?
Pull up on the lever, that releases all hydraulic pressure in the lines and opens all gear up locks,
The gear will then free fall into position

When would you use the down lock release button?
Only in event of landing gear control lever failure
Or if needed to clear obstacles in an emergency
When will gear aural warning sound and not be able to be silenced?
Slat flap 5 or full
Slat flap lever in 0,1,2,3,4 and RA below 700 TLA below 45° (2 engine) TLA below 59° ( single engine)
Dual RA failure with flaps slats 5 or full
What powers the outboard brakes?
Hyd sys 1
What powers the inboard brakes?
Hyd sys 2
What does the BCM ( brake control module) provide?
Locked wheel protection Anti skid protection Automatic wheel braking Touchdown protection
What is locked wheel protection?
System compares wheel speeds or pairs( outboard. Or inboard pairs)
Must be above 30 kts. If one pair is 33% or below of it’s paired wheel, Hyd pressure on that brake is dropped to zero
Below what speed is anti skid protection deactivated?
10 kts
What is automatic wheel braking?
Prevents gear from spinning during retraction
What is touchdown protection?
Prevents plane from landing with main gear brakes applied
It is deactivated 3 seconds after WOW and when wheel speed above 50 kts
Which Hydraulic sys powers the emergency brake?
1 and 2
