Q

How do you add more atoms to an equation?

A

You add more atoms by adding whole reactants or products. You do this by putting a whole number in front of a substance that’s already in the equation

Q

What do ionic equations show?

A

In ionic equations only show the reacting particles (and the products they form) are included

Q

How do you write ionic equations?

A

Break up the ionic substances in the equation to show all the ions in the reaction mixture. Cross out any ions that appear on both sides. Re write the equation with the remaining ions

Q

What is a state symbol?

A

A state symbol tells you the state of matter things are in. They are put after each reactant or products in an equation
