1. move the number that does not have an x to the right
2. write our sum on the left the same way
3. then add a new sum by from the second x (b) over two, squared
4. now add the exact same sum to the right side (we will be left with two of the same sum)
5. we will now open two brackets and place the x and the new sum inside it (we must also add a square)
6. type in the sum on the right in our calculator and right the answer on the right side (keep it in a fraction)
7. no we can add a square root on the left side to eliminate the square (must do this to both sides)
8. we will now have a plus or minus for our sum on the right hand side and must bring over any sum value without an x to the right hand side
9. now solve for x by doing an equation for plus and another equation for minus
10. we will be left with two values for x
