What does ‘equality’ mean?
A
Equality means giving everyone equal opportunities to access support and care services and ensuring they are not treated poorly or discriminated against as a result of their background or individual differences. (equality does not mean treating everyone the same)

Why is it important to treat individuals with equality?
A
If someone is not given equal opportunities, they will feel excluded, upset, angry, depressed, and will lose trust in the care workers to provide adequate care
