How does the Catholic church support Gender equality?

- BIBLE teaches that God created both men and women in the image of God (imago dei).
- St Paul taught in GALATIANS that men and women are equal in Christ.
- The Catechism teaches that men and women are equal and should have equal rights in life and society

- They can become a nun/sister, devoting their life to God.
- serving on various committees
- reading the Bible readings at Mass.
- Women being extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion
- Women being able to study and teach in theological colleges

- women cannot be ordained (become priests)
- The church believes men and women are equal, different skills and contributions
- Men take more religious leadership roles, while women have an equally important role to play in their families and communities.
