- Collective lever – Adjust to OEI limits or below
- Landing attitude – Establish

DOUBLE ENGINE FAILURE - FLIGHT
Autorotation – Perform
XMSN OIL PRESSURE
If one XMSN oil pressure indication is below 1.0 bar:
1. Power – Reduce
2. LAND AS SOON AS
PRACTICABLE
If both indications are below 1.0 bar:
3. LAND IMMEDIATELY
Single engine failure – Hover OGE
(CAL-CAS/ CRA-CASL)
- Collective Lever – Adjust to maintain Rotor RPM
- Airspeed – Increase if possible

Single Engine Failure – FLIGHT (ORASL)
- OEI flight condition – Establish
- Rotor speed – Trim to maximum
- Affected Engine – Identify
- Single eng emer shutdown – Perform
- LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
ENGINE OVERSPEED (CV-NAT-L)
- Collective lever – Raise to as necessary maintain N2 and NRO within limits
- VAR NR sys NORM/MAN – Check MAN
- N2 TRIM sw – Try to trim NRO to 101% with matched torque
⌲ If step 3. Is not possible
4. Affected engine – Identify
5. Twist grip (aff eng) – Rotate towards IDLE until N2 and NRO stabilize in normal range and FLI needles match.
6. LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
ENGINE UNDERSPEED
(OBVANT – LS)
- OEI flight condition – Establish
- Bleed air consumers – Off
- VAR NR sys NORM/MAN – Check MAN
- Affected engine – Identify
- N2 TRIM sw – Compensate N2/NRO drop and try to match torque
If torque match is not possible
- Twist grip (aff eng) – Release stop and rotate towards FLIGHT until N2 and NRO stabilize in normal range and FLI needles match
- LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
If no residual torque (aff eng) is available
- Single eng emer shutdown – Perform
T/R DRIVE/FIXED PITCH CONTROL FAILURE FWD FLIGHT (CASSAL-AAA)
- Collective lever – Reduce to obtain minimum sideslip angle
- Airspeed – Maintain 70 KIAS or higher
- Suitable landing area – Select Hard flat surface with left crosswind
- Shallow approach with nose left – Perform
If airspeed can be reduced below 40 kts with nose still pointing left:
5. Airspeed – Reduce close to ground until nose is aligned with flight direction
6. Landing – Perform
If nose direction changes from left to right at airspeed higher than 40 kts:
5. Airspeed – Increase
6. Approach – Abort, climb to sufficient height for autorotation
7. Autorotation – Perform
AUTOROTATION (CAD-B)
- Collective – Reduce to maintain NRO within limits
- Airspeed – 75KIAS recommended

• min rate-of-descent 60KIAS - Dbl eng emer shutdown – Perform
Approx 100’ AGL - Flare attitude – Est (15- 20) reduce airspeed, rate of descent, control NRO
Approx 8-12’ AGL (10-15’ ATM) - Flare attitude – Reduce to approx. 7
- Heading – Maintain
- Collective lever – Raise to stop descent and cushion landing
- BAT MSTR sw – OFF
FIRE-ON GROUND
- FIRE sw (affected engine) – Raise guard, press
- Both FUEL PRIME PUMPS-Check OFF
- BOT 1/BOT 2 pb – Press; bottle 1 activated; – EXT indicator light comes on (EMER OFF SW pnl)
- Clock stop watch – Start (after BOT 1 legend and EXT indicator light go off (EMER OFF SW pnl)
- Double engine emergency shutdown – Perform
- Passengers – Alert/Evacuate
If situation permits and FIRE warning is still on after 1 minute:
- BOT 1/BOT 2 pb – Press; bottle 2 activated; – EXT indicator light comes on (EMER OFF SW pnl)
- BAT MSTR sw – OFF
FIRE- IN FLIGHT
- OEI flight condition – Establish
- Airspeed – Reduce if IAS is exceeding 100 kts
- FIRE sw (affected engine) – Raise guard, press
- BOT 1/BOT 2 pb – Press; bottle 1 activated; – EXT indicator light comes on (EMER OFF SW pnl)
- Clock stop watch – Start (after BOT 1 legend and EXT indicator light go off (EMER OFF SW pnl)
- Affected engine – Identify
- Single engine emergency shutdown – Perform
- Passengers – Alert
- LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
If FIRE warning is still on after 1 minute: - BOT 1/BOT 2 pb – Press; bottle 2 activated; – EXT indicator light comes on (EMER OFF SW pnl)

ENG OIL P (low)
Affected engine oil pressure below minimum.
- Engine oil pressure – Check
- OEI flight condition – Establish
- Affected engine – Identify
- Single engine emergency shutdown – Perform
- LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
Single engine failure-takeoff
- Collective lever – Adjust to maintain rotor RPM
REJECTED TAKEOFF
- Landing attitude – Establish
- Collective lever – Raise as necessary to stop descent and cushion landing
After landing:
- Affected engine – Identify
- Single engine emergency shutdown – Perform
TRANSITION TO OEI - FLIGHT
- Collective lever – Adjust to OEI-limits or below
- Rotor speed – Trim to maximum
- Airspeed – Gain, 65 KIAS (VY) After reaching safe altitude:
- Collective lever – Reduce to OEI MCP or below
- Affected engine – Identify
- Single engine emergency shutdown – Perform
- LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
Single engine failure- approach
- Rotor speed – Trim to maximum
- Single engine landing procedure – Perform
After landing: - Affected engine – Identify
- Single engine emergency shutdown – Perform
Engine oil temperature high
- OEI flight condition – Establish
- Affected engine – Identify
- Twist grip (affected engine) – Adjust to 20–30% torque (TWIST GRIP caution indication comes on)
- Oil temperature indicator (affected engine) – Monitor
If engine oil temperature decreases below limit:

If engine oil temperature still remains above limit:

Engine overspeed – driveshaft failure
- OEI flight condition – Establish

Perform a single engine shutdown
- Twist grip (affected engine) – Rotate slowly to IDLE, check indications, then to OFF
- Rotor speed – Trim to maximum
GEN OVHT
- Affected GEN sw – OFF
CAUTION IF GEN OVHT CAUTION INDICATION REMAINS ON AND IF THERE ARE INDICATIONS OF A FIRE SUCH AS BURNING ODOR OR SMOKE, SHUT DOWN THE AFFECTED ENGINE.
If GEN OVHT caution indication remains on for more than 1 minute:
- OEI flight condition – Establish
- Affected engine – Identify
- Single engine emergency shutdown – Perform
- LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
FUEL FILT
One caution indication: LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
CAUTION BE PREPARED FOR SINGLE ENGINE FAILURE.
Both caution indications:
LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
CAUTION BE PREPARED FOR DOUBLE ENGINE FAILURE
Low Fuel
- Fuel quantity indication – Check
If positive fuel indication in the main tank:
- Both fuel pump XFER sw (Fwd + Aft) – Check ON
- Both fuel pump XFER circuit breakers (Fwd + Aft) – Check in
If both FUEL LOW warning lights remain on:
- LAND WITHIN 10 MINUTES
If one FUEL LOW warning light remains on:
- Expect single engine failure
BAT TEMP (on ground)
- must know by memory
- BAT MSTR sw – OFF *
- Engines – Shut down
BAT TEMP (in flight single pilot)
* must know by memory
- BAT MSTR sw – OFF*
- LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE *
- Engine shutdown – Perform
- Visual inspection of battery – Perform
If visual inspection reveals no indication of battery overheating:
5. Start-up procedure – Perform

NOTE Continue flight in VMC only. On CAD the BAT DISCON caution will appear.
