Define environmental psychology
Originally concerned with person place interactions and the effect this has on behaviour but has now been brought in to accommodate pro environmentalism due to the growing environmental crisis
What is conservation psychology
Concerned with the protection of natural flora and fauna to human behaviour change

Concerned with the relationship between humanity and the natural world is ecological and psychological principles
What is the role of working in behaviour change
The role is to change peoples behaviour so they are more pro environmental healthier and happier
What are the qualifications and employers in working in behaviour change
- For a typical qualification an MSc in behaviour change is required
- Employers are local councils and health providers
What is the role qualifications and employers in working in education
Role: Utilising natural spaces to teach and develop children young people and adults
Qualifications: Teaching qualification and or recognise Forest School leader qualifications
Employers: Self-employed, nature charities and local authorities

Role: Researching the relationship between nature and human health, well-being and pro environmentalism

- Adding plants to a room brings feelings of closeness and community can form (Passmore 2011)
- Linked to a decrease in anxiety (Martyn + Brymer 2014 and an increase in positive affect when noting the good things in nature (Keenan, Lember + Richardson)
