How does viral labyrnthitis vs vestibular neuritis present?
Vertigo
N&V
Nystagmus
Can be preceded by viral illness
Main differentiating factor is that labyrnthitis causes hearing loss and vestibular neuritis does not.
What meds are associated with ototoxicity?
Gentamicin, quinine, furosemide, aspirin and some chemotherapy agents.
Which abx for otitis externa in diabetics?
Ciprofloxacin to cover for pseudomonas
