Regular Verb:
forms its past by adding has, have, or had plus -d or -ed to the base
How does a verb form its past participle?
adding am, is, or are, and adding -ing
Present Tense:
usually ends in ‘s’ or in the base form
Past Tense:
follow the rules of regular verbs ending in -d or -ed + irregular verbs changing in spelling
Future Tense:
includes the word ‘will’
Present Perfect:
includes only the helping verb ‘has’ or ‘have’ similar to the past participle
Future Perfect:
includes the words ‘will have’
Present Progressive:
contains one of the following verbs (is, are, am) +ing ending similar to the present participle
Past Progressive:
contains one of the following verbs (was, were) +ing ending
