What are the grammar rules for present simple?
- When the verb ends in –o. –ss, -sh, -ch, -x, we add –es
- When a consonant is followed by –y, it changes into –ie and we add –s

When is present continuous used?
- Actions happening now
- Temporary actions
- Future actions that are decided
What are signal words for present continuous?
Now, at the moment, these days, this week /month etc
What are some exceptions in present continuous?
- The final ‘e’ is dropped, but: ‘ee’ is not changed
- After a short, stressed vowel, the final consonant is doubled e.g swim, get, stop, put
