14
Q

What does the 16 % switch do?

A

1: energized the igniter plugs (cans 2 and 5)
2: energizes the paralleling valve solenoid allowing the primary and secondary pumps to operate in parallel during the starting sequence
3: energized the fuel manifold drain solenoid

15
Q

What does the 65 % switch do?

A

1: deengerizes the igniter plugs
2: deenergizes the paralleling valve solenoid that puts primary and secondary pumps in series
3: deengerizes the fuel manifold drain valve solenoid but the drain valve itself remains closed bc of fuel pressure

16
Q

What does the 94 % switch do?

A
  • TD switches from start limiting to temp limiting
  • Closes speed sensative valve controlling the 5th and 10th stage bleed air valves by porting 14th stage bleed air to close them
17
Q

Air needed for starting

A

25psi at 16% rpm

18
Q

E handles functions

A

F: actuated feather system (electrical) and moves feather valve to feather (mechanical)
F: shuts off fuel at the FCU (electrical and mechanical)
F: closes fuel tank emergency shutoff valve (mechanical)
F: closes firewall shutoff valve (electrical)
B: closes bleed air shutoff valve (electrical)
O: closes oil tank shutoff valve (electrical)
G: closes Gen cooling air shutoff valve (mechanical)
E: dumps EDC (electrical)

19
Q

Oil tank capacity

A

8.65 gallons and 5.7 gallons for foaming space
Total= 15.75
Unusable= 1.4

20
Q

Oil cooler augntation criteria

A
  • power levers in beta range
  • oil cooler flaps at 100% open
  • winging start selector switch OFF
21
Q

Hot start reasons

A

W: wind up tailpipe
P: poor ground air supply
F: faulty fuel control causing a rich fuel schedule
I: incorrect blade angle for Starting
S: stalled compressor
T: malfunctioning temp trim system or electrical fault
