Define:

A

Procedure in which an endoscope is used to examine the interior of a hollow organ or cavity in the body.

There are different types:
Oesophagus, stomach and duodenum - OGD (upper GI endoscopy)

Colon= colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy

Rectum= rectoscopy , anus= anoscopy. Together = proctoscopy

Small intestine = enteroscopy

ERCP = bile and pancreatic ducts

New dyspepsia

Gastric biopsy

peptic biopsy

haemetemesis

Persistent vomiting

Iron deficiency

A
