  1. Autonomic
    • Facilitate the behaviors and provide quick mobilization for vigorous movement
  2. Behavioral
    • Muscular movements appropriate to the situation (ex. Facial expression)
  3. Hormonal
    • Reinforce the autonomic responses (epinephrine + glucocorticoid)
