** Needs applied resource to control its impact**
What causes these emerging infectious diseases?
what are the sources?
- Mutations in the disease(surface proteins or increased resistance)
- Increased interactions between humans and animals= zoonosis, disease jumps from animals to humans.
- new technology for existing disease:
- traveling ( bringing back new disease)
- Climate change– organisms are in new biomes they couldn’t be in before.
