Types of EC and time frame
A
- Copper coil- within 5 days of UPSI, MOST effective
- Ulipristal- within 120h
- Levonorgestrel- within 72-96h
- Can have repeat doses- might be less effective in 7/7

Ulipristal use/caution
A
- Better if ovulation happened in last 5 days
- Do not use if pt took progesterone in last 5 days
- Caution in severe asthma, taking EI drugs and reflux
- If BF- Discard millk for 1 weeks

Levonorgestrel use/caution
A
- Double dose if on EI drug
- Less effective if BMI >26 and wt >70kg
- Can be used in BF

EC and vomiting
A
- Repeat dose if vomited within 3h

- Consider UPA
- If cannot have UPA, use double dose LNG
