Embryology Flashcards
What we the 3 primary germ layers from deep to superficial.
Endoderm, mesoderm, ectoderm
What’s the time when the 3 primary germ layers form?
Gastrulation
What are apart of the ectoderm?
Nervous tissue, pituitary gland, sensory organs, adrenal medulla, hair, skin, glands and tooth enamel.
What’s apart of the mesoderm?
Muscle and connective tissue, heart adrenal cortex, kidneys, ureters, internal reproductive organs, spleen, and epithelium of vessels.
What is apart of the endoderm?
Epithelium tissue of respiratory, GI, urinary, and reproductive tracts, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, thyroid land parathyroid glands, and thymus.
What are the 3 stages of the prenatal period?

What is cleavage?
The division of a zygote
What’s a morula?
16 or more cells during cleavage
What is a blastocyte?
Hollow hall of cells
What is developed during the embryonic stage?
