ECLs can be displayed on
Any of the 3 MFDs using the 2 scratch pads
When checklist items can be sensed by the checklist system
It is green and called a closed loop step, automatically checked off
Steps not sensed are called
Open loop steps
Checklist icons
White boxes meaning that EICAS MSG has an associated checklist
When checklist is complete the white box is removed from the EICAS MSG
Conditional statements
Begin with the word “if”
True=Green and timer
False=Cyan
Non normal key
Is displayed when there are non normal checklists that need to be accomplished
Used to display checklist queue or the last remaining checklist in the queue
If amber=not completed
Unannunciated checklists
Window arching crack checklist
No annunciation must be selected from non normal menu
Inhibited checklist
Not placed in queue
Operational notes
Some non normal checklists have operational notes
Notes provide additional info that still may be needed after the checklist is complete
Eg: Use flap 20 and a ref20 etc
Operational limitations
Inop equip lists
Notes key appears when notes exist
Deferred items
Several non normal contain these items
Are items that are steps that are attached to a normal checklist such as the approach or landing checklist later in the flight
Resets
To use a completed checklist again it must be reset manually via the CHKL RESET key
Resets Automatically checklists
After go around
If reselecting normal chapecklists
Non normal reset after checklist complete and condition is gone
Overrides
When overrides are conducted via item override or checklist override key, assumes checklist item is complete
Step turns cyan
