16
Q

Can a train remain in service if pantos cannot be electrically lowered remotely?

A

No

17
Q

What do you do if the control CB trips after pushing traction equip reset button?

A

Find the motor with this car light
Place to all out
TMM

18
Q

What does it mean if the control CB trips before you have even touched anything?

A

There is a short circuit between the control CB and the reverser

19
Q

What does it mean if the control CB trips with reverser in F, N, R and brake 1-7

A

Fault could be in the train cable or rheo brake control equip

20
Q

If the fault was with the rheo brake how would you fix it?

A

Rheo brake iso switch to isolate
Try to reset the CB
If that doesn’t work, rheo back to normal and trip EP circuit breaker
Try to rest the CB

21
Q

What do you do if the control CB trips while the master controller is open?

A

Determine which power notch is causing it to trip and drive in anything but that. If that doesn’t work out traction motors to all out if that doesn’t work do it in the leading centre motor if that doesn’t work divide and attach non electrically

22
Q

What does the train cable carry and what is the connection?

A

110v and is connected between the centre motors by spring loaded contacts on the coupler

23
Q

What is connected to the Aux control circuit breaker? BADSCAS

A

Bell
Aux start
Door buttons
Saloon lights on off
Couple and uncouple
Air con
Self centering device

24
Q

If you loose an MA what happens? (4)

A

Half saloon lighting in each car
Half air con in each car
Half cab lighting and heating
Rheo on the car with the MA out will be inoperative

25
Q

How do you know which MA is inoperative?

A

Air con fault light in cab roof

26
Q

How many MAs do you need for full lighting?

A

4/all

27
Q

How many DC supply circuit breakers do you need set?

A

At least 1 and the train must be removed from service
0 CB means train is disabled
