A. Attempt to handle the wires directly.
B. Drive the vehicle away from the wires.
C. Immediately evacuate the vehicle.
D. Ignore the wires and proceed.
B. Drive the vehicle away from the wires.
If wires are in contact with vehicle, attempt to drive the vehicle away from from the wires.
In this situation there is no one trapped.
What is the recommended action if a fire fighter needs to dismount from an apparatus in contact with an electrical wire?
A. Touch the ground before jumping.
B. Immediately step off the vehicle.
C. Jump from the vehicle to the ground.
D. Call for additional support.
C. Jump from the vehicle to the ground
Never step off of a vehicle that is in contact with an electrical wire. If it is necessary to dismount from the apparatus, the fire fighter should jump from the vehicle.
