RAT is connected to which bus?
Right Essential Bus
When does the RAT automatically deploy?
Loss of all 3 generators or triple engine failure
Which busses charge the batteries?
Left Essential - BAT 1
Right Essential - BAT 2
Can the RAT charge the batteries?
Yes. Thru the essential busses
Can the APU and External power work together?
No. GPU has priority
Will the GPU stay online if you start and engine with it?
No. It kicks offline after the first engine start
What does the PMA power?
All 3 FADECS. PMA 4 and 5 power the number 1 and 2 flyby-wire system. PMA 4 and 5 are just extensions to PMA 1 and 2 on engines 1 and 2.

28 Volt DC system
How many amps on the generators normally?
400 Amps
What is normal battery voltage?
24 Volt
Can the RAT charge the batteries?
Yes
Does the GPU charge the batteries?
Yes. The essential busses will be powered with the GPU
If you are just on battery power in the air, how long would the batteries last?
7 minutes
What is the minimum battery voltage required for them to connect to the busses?
18 V
What powers the ground service bus?
Battery busses
At ambient temperatures below 0°C do not operate the Ground Service Bus (Battery Load). True or False?
True
Ground Service Bus operation is limited to 3 minutes by a circuit timer. True or False?
True
Does the battery switches need to be on to power the battery busses?
No. The battery busses are also hot battery busses. They are tied directly to the batteries.
Do we have generator busses?
No
The generators power which busses?
Main busses
Generator 3 powers which main bus?
Right Main
Left Main bus is powered from which generators?
Gen 1 & 2
When will the external power button flash?
External power is connected and at least one engine generator is connected.
Is our GPU AC or DC?
DC
On the ground, the auto load-shed system is disabled. True or False?
True
Where is the GPU connection port located on the airplane?
Right aft side of the airplane
Will the ground service bus connect to the batteries if the battery switches are turned on?
No
Which switch must be turned on to be able to connect the ground service bus?
GND SERVICING switch located on the maintenance panel must be set to the up position.
When is it recommended to disconnect both batteries? How many days of inactivity or what temperature?
Not flying for 3 days or more or temp less than -15 c
