electric filing Flashcards
the power of the machine or its ability to keep turning when applying pressure during filing
torque
the tightness of the inside of the shank where the bit fits into the handpiece
tolerance
balanced bits that do not wobble or vibrate, are referred to as centered
concentric bits
measured by the number of abrasive particles per square inch
grit
long slender cuts or grooves found on carbide bit
flutes
the term used for when a nail enhancement needs to be serviced after two or more weeks
maintenance
the number of times the bits turns in a complete in one minute
revolutions per minute rpm

bits
bits are cut with finished - so that they are not sharp on top
edges
made from either natural or synthetic diamond particles attached to the surfaces of metal bits
diamond bits
made of metal w flute-like cuts that shave the enhancement product instead of scratching it te way file, sand and diamond bits do
carbide bits
the shorter coned shaped bit is designed w a flat top and can be used to shape the top surface of the nail to cut maintenance on small nails
tapered barrel bits
designed for cuticle saftey work. can be used for underneath the nail and for shaping
cuticle safety bits

needle bits
bits used to perform maintenance procedure are commonly marketed and referred to as backfill bits
maintenance bits
designed to used sideways to carve out a āVā into the smile line area during a maintenance procedure
