Ulnar head: Med aspect of coronoid process just distal to attachment for Flexor Digitorum Superficialis.

DA: Radius midway along lat shaft

Inn: Median C6,7

Actions: Pronates the FA, secondary elbow Flexor

Flexor Carpi Radialis

A

PA: Med epicondyle of humerus by Common Flexor Tendon, adjacent intermuscular septum and antebrachial fascia

DA: 2nd MC base, palmar aspect and a slip to 3rd MC

Inn: Median C6,7

Actions: Flex the wrist, radial deviation

A

PA: Medial epicondyle by Common Flexor Tendon, adjacent intermuscular septum and antebrachial fascia

DA: Flexor retinaculum at wrist & palmar aponeurosis of hand

Inn: Median C7,8

Actions: Flexes the wrist, tenses palmar aponeurosis

A

PA:
Humeral head: Med epicondyle of Common Flexor Tendon
Ulnar head: Med margin of olecranon, proximal 2/3 of post border of ulna.

DA: Pisiform bone and hamate & 5th MC by pisohamate & pisometacarpal ligs respectively

Inn: Ulnar C7,8, T1

Actions: Flexes the wrist, ulnar deviation

Flexor Digitorum Superficialis

A

PA:
Humeroulnar head: Med epicondyle by Common Flexor Tendon, UCL, intermuscular septa & med aspect of coronoid process (prox to pronator teres)
Radial head: Ant radial border (oblique line)

DA: By 4 tendons to middle phalanges of lesser 4 digits along sides of shaft

Inn: Median C8 T1

Actions: Flexes PIP, MCP, of the lesser 4 digits & the wrist

Flexor Digitorum Profundus

A

PA: ant & med surfaces of proximal 3/4 ulna, med aspect of coronoid process, proximal 3/4 of post border of ulna, med ½ of interosseous membrane

DA: Palmar aspect of bases of distal phalanges

Inn: Anterior interosseous n. (lat 1/2), ulnar n. (med 1/2) C8,T1

Actions: Flexes DIP of the lesser 4 digits, secondarily the PIPs, MCPs & wrist

PA: anterior surface of radius between the tuberosity & pronator quadratus mm. adjacent interosseous membrane

DA: Distal phalanx of thumb on volar surface

Inn: Anterior interosseous n. C7,8

Actions: Flexes the IP jt of the thumb
