A massive structure with a rectangular base with four triangle sides. But built in Egypt as burial places for old Kingdom pharaohs

The process of an embalming and drying corpses to prevent them from decaying
Canopic Jars
A covered urn in ancient Egyptian burials to hold the entrails from an embalmed body
Horus
Falcon headed sky God whose eyes were the moon and the sun. Was a protector of the pharaoh. Osiris and Isis were his parents
Osiris
The supreme God who was the first Pharoah. After he died he became the god of the underworld.
Anubis
Jackal headed God of embalming and cemeteries. Weighed your heart when you died
Ra-Atum
The sun god

An ancient Egyptian writing system in which pictures were used to represent ideas and sounds
Papyrus
A tall read that grows in the Nile Delta used by the ancient Egyptians to make paperlike material to write on
Rosetta Stone
Part of an inscribed granite stela that had inscriptions of hieroglyphics, demonic Greek, and Greek. helped decipher hieroglyphics

Female pharaoh of the New Kingdom. During her reign, she encouraged trade rather than waging war
Ramses II
Pharaoh of the New Kingdom who built many monuments and temples dedicated to himself and to Amon-Ra.
