Preschool education
Refers to the ongoing process of learning the expected behaviors, Values, Norms, And social skills of individuals who occupy particular roles in society
Socialization
Is the process during which newcomers or minorities are incorporated into the social structure of the host society
Social integration
Involves grouping students with similar social and emotional needs in the same classroom or school setting to provide them with a supportive and inclusive learning environment that addresses both their academic and social emotional needs
Social Placement
Refer to the development and implementation of new ideas practices and technologies that address social and cultural challenges
Social and Cultural Innovation
Refers to the structured education system that runs from primary (add in some countries from nursery) school to university, and includes specialized programs for vocational, technical and professional training
Formal education
Public schools and private schools, is concerned primarily with continuing basic education of the elementary level and expanding it include the learning of employable, gainful skills, usually corresponding to 4 years of junior high school and 2 years of senior high school
Secondary education
Institutions of higher education may be classified as either public or private college or University, and public institutions of higheducation may further be subdivided into 2 types which are state universities and local colleges and universities
Tertiary education
It refers to any organized educational activity outside the established formal system to provide selected types of learning to a segment of the population.
NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
It is a lifelong process whereby every individual acquires from daily experiences, attitudes, values, facts, skills, and knowledge or motor skill from resources in his or her higher environment.
Informal education
refers to the education of persons who are
physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, or culturally different from so called “normal” individuals, such that they require modification of school practices to develop their potential.
Special Education
these are biological requirements for human survival, e.g. air, food, drink, shelter, clothing, warmth, sex, sleep. If these needs are not satisfied the human body cannot function optimally.
Physiological needs
protection from elements, security, order, law, stability, freedom from fear.
Safety needs
the need for interpersonal relationships motivates behavior. Examples include friendship, intimacy, trust, and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love. Affiliating, being part of a group (family, friends, work).
Love and belongingness needs
which Maslow classified into two categories: (i) esteem for oneself (dignity, achievement, mastery, and independence) and (ii) the desire for reputation or respect from others (e.g., status, prestige). Maslow indicated that the need for respect or reputation is most important for children and adolescents and precedes real self- esteem or dignity.
Esteem needs
realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences.
