What does the nominative mean?

A

The nominative does the action in a sentence.

e.g SERVUS cenam consumat.
The SLAVE eats the dinner.

What does the accusative mean?

A

The accusative receives the action in a sentence.
It goes after some prepositions, normally conveying motion TOWARDS something (ad + acc = towards, in + acc = into)

e.g Servus CENAM consumat.
The slave eats the DINNER.
