  • Frequent vomiting and the use of laxatives lead to dehydration and to the depletion of electrolytes (body salts).
  • Affects the body’s ability to function properly
  • Depression and high levels of anxiety

1) GP:
Will monitor medical aspects and make referrals for other aspects of treatment

2) Counselling or Psychotherapy:
aims to address the underlying psychological factors

3) Nutritional counselling:
Aims to educate and enable the person to make necessary nutritional choices
