Purpose of EIIP
identify and respond to department members who display signs of a decline in work performance or other problematic behavior
What is a threshold (EIIP)
Established by EIIP for various IAPro data points and measured by the number of on- or off-duty incidents documented in IAPro.
They are determined by assessing IAPro data, problematic behavior, productivity, and other indicators.
EIIP-established threshold (colors and meaning)
Gray: There are no identified issues.
Orange: The member is one incident away from reaching an EIIP-established threshold.
Red: The member has reached or surpassed an EIIP-established threshold.
First-line supervisor will:

Review members’ Blue Team dashboards monthly.
Receive EIIP alert from Blue Team via email notification.
Consult with second-line supervisor regarding any alerts received.
Physically meet with the member to discuss the alert.
Continue to assess the member’s work performance.
Performance Reviews (EIIP)
used to compare performance against other members, squads, shifts, or bureaus
Significant Event Reporting (SER)
SER is a confidential, non-disciplinary, Blue Team-based process that tracks significant events members have experienced.
SER enables EIIP to proactively address the mental health and well-being of members, regardless of changes in assignment and/or chain of command.
When a supervisor becomes aware of significant event, the supervisor will:(5)
Ensure the member is made aware of PEAP services and that PEAP is notified.
Log into Blue Team and choose “Significant Event Report”
Complete the required fields in Blue Team including a summary of the incident.
Link the involved member but do not link any allegations.
Select “Mark Incident Complete,” which will record the significant event.
EIIP-established thresholds have a period of
a rolling calendar year
(exception: firearm discharges and SERs, which are established over a rolling 30- and 60-month period respectively).
Supervisor will complete EIIP alert in blue team within
14 calendar days
Bureau commander has how many days to approve and forward EIIP alert?
45 calendar days
EIIP thresholds changes when
The EIIP analyst will review the SER threshold at least once annually and adjust it as necessary
EIIP alerts sent and received
EIIP sends to blue team. Automatic email is generated and sent to immediate supervisor.
