E190 PNEUMATICS Flashcards
The pneumatic system provides bleed air to
The engine starter
Anti ice system
ECS
Water pressurization
Within the engines, Bleed air comes from
LP and HP stages
At low power settings, bleed air is regulated by the
The high-stage bleed valve
At high power settings the bleed air is regulated by
The engine bleed valve
What cools and regulates the bleed air?
The pre-cooler
How does the precooler work?
It cools the bleed air using engine fan air
If a bleed leak is detected, will the plane shut down the respective bleed system?
Yes
If more than one bleed source is available, the AMS logic priority is:
- Onside engine
- Opposite engine
- APU
Can you use APU bleed air for operation of the anti ice system in flight?
No
When would you need to use “LFE CTRL” knob?
If FMS 1 and 2 INOP or…
Landing at an airport not in the database
Will the system still pressurize automatically if using LFE CTRL?
Yes
When the mode switch is moved to LFE CTRL what does this action allow?
Manual input of landing field elevation via the LFE knob
In flight what will happen if the dump button is pushed in?
In auto:
- packs and review fans turn off
- outflow valve modulate to raise the cabin to 12.4k at 2000FPM
- natural leak will bring cabin alt above 12.4k if plane is higher
In manual:
- packs and record fans turn off
Can the cabin dump be cancelled if it has already been pushed in?
Yes. Just push it out.
On ground with APU and engines running, which pneumatic sources has priority for supplying bleed air to the packs?
AMS gives priority to the engines
